Berchtesgaden National Park House

Project: Redesign of the permanent exhibition

Completed in 2003 in collaboration with
Atelier & Friends - an exhibition design firm
Commissioned by:
National Park Administration of the Berchtesgaden Region
Scope:
Media design and media installation, including production of content and supply of hardware
Dimensions:
Floor space: approx. 300 m²
9 extensive media stations, 1 frontal projection,
1 interactive model with film

The permanent exhibition in the National Park House of Berchtesgaden was revamped in the summer of 2003.
The main part of the exhibition is located in the cloister of the Franciscan monastery in the town centre of Berchtesgaden.
From the outset, the Atelier & Friends concept envisaged substantial use of integrated media.
The deliberately simple graphic design draws the visitor quickly into each subject area, where a media station provides more in-depth material. Films shot specifically for this purpose, depict the valley as the highlight of any stay in the National Park.
An interactive model of the park serves as a three-dimensional guide to walking tracks, huts and sightseeing features, using various media to make them come alive.
Die Werft was commissioned to complete all AV media, including the supply and installation of appropriate hardware.
